Shah Rukh Khan is in no mood to announce his next film as a lead, and you can blame the debacle of Zero for that. The much-anticipated film, made on a humongous budget, proved to be a cropper at the box office, and SRK seems to have taken the failure of the movie to heart. He has been spending his free time with his wife and kids, producing movies like non-SRK movies like Badla in the interim and collaborating with Netflix for various projects. But will we never see Shah Rukh Khan on the big screen any time soon? The Zoya Factor: Did Sonam Kapoor Confirm Shah Rukh Khan's Cameo in the Film?
The answer is, NO! Shah Rukh Khan, disappointedly, has not announced any film with him in the lead, but there are quite a few projects where he will be seen in a cameo. Most recently, it was confirmed that he will be a part of The Zoya Factor, starring Sonam Kapoor and Dulquer Salmaan.
In this feature, let's look at all the movies that Shah Rukh Khan is confirmed or rumoured to appear in special appearances.

Status of Cameo: Confirmed
In a recent interview to Bollywood Hungama, Sonam Kapoor and Dulquer Salmaan have confirmed that SRK will indeed have a cameo in the movie (apart from someone else, whose identity wasn't revealed). Also, in the first song, "Lucky Charm", we hear Shah Rukh Khan's voiceover too. If any of you have read the novel on which the movie is based on, you know that Shah Rukh Khan appears as himself in there, whom Zoya Solanki meets during an ad campaign. Status of Cameo: Almost Confirmed
R Madhavan has a special role in Shah Rukh Khan's Zero, where he played a scientist. Now as a return favour, Shah Rukh Khan was expected to be seen in a cameo in Madhavan's directorial debut, Rocketry: The Nambi Effect. LatestLY, in its EXCLUSIVE scoop, has confirmed that Shah Rukh Khan has shot for his role in the former ISRO scientist Nambi Narayanan's biopic, while also revealing deets of his cameo. However, there has been no official announcement from either Madhavan or the production house on this, which is why we aren't sure if the cameo will be retained in the movie. PS: Suriya Sivakumar will be doing the same role in the Tamil version of the film.

Status of Cameo: Speculative
Recently, there has been a rumour going around that Karan Johar has approached big brother and bestie Shah Rukh Khan for a small role in his upcoming production, Brahmastra. The fantasy film, which stars Amitabh Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt in the lead, is directed by Ayan Mukerji. It was Filmfare who broke the news of SRK's cameo, though, with no confirmation from the production house, we have to take it with a pinch of salt.

Status of Cameo: Speculative
TOI broke out this news in April 2019 about Shah Rukh Khan appearing in Salman Khan's cop actioner. A source told the publication, "Dabangg 3 has a few flashback portions which will trace Salman's journey before he became the Robinhood of the area. There's a character. It's of a man who helps Salman during an important scene. The team was thinking of a few names when Salman decided to call his good friend Shah Rukh to shoot for it. Salman and SRK did a FaceTime call a few weeks back, which is when Salman asked him if he can make an appearance in D3. SRK happily said yes to it." Earlier, Shah Rukh Khan had done a cameo in Tubelight, while Salman returned the favour by doing a special song in Zero.
Status of Cameo: Denied, But Who Knows?
Earlier this year, when Shah Rukh Khan and Bigil director Atlee were seen watching an IPL match together, gossip broke out that they may be doing a movie soon. While we can be sure that Atlee must have approached SRK for a movie, the project details weren't confirmed yet. Then, there was this big rumour going around that Shah Rukh Khan would be doing a cameo in Bigil, starring Thalapathy Vijay in the lead, where he would be seen in a negative character. The makers themselves put out a statement denying this, calling it a 'baseless rumour'. As of now, let's go by what the Bigil team says, but what if they are trying to hide the cameo by giving a false statement?
